We are defined by the things we do.
My life’s work has been helping people make informed real estate decisions.
I have been a licensed residential Realtor since 2006. During that time, I have helped more than 400 individuals, couples and families purchase and sell homes throughout the Fraser Valley.
A Career in Real Estate
My experience includes condominiums, townhomes, row homes, detached homes and new construction. I have worked with first-time buyers, experienced investors and clients navigating estate sales, foreclosures, bankruptcies and multi-owner properties.
Having taught legal issues for home builders and the closing process for Realtors, I am comfortable managing the contractual side of real estate. Just as importantly, I understand that many real estate decisions are deeply personal. Being married to a therapist and having studied leadership has taught me that every transaction has a human story behind it.
The properties below represent only a small sample of the people I have had the privilege of working with.

More Than a List of Sales
What I have sold is only part of the story.
Over the past decade the Fraser Valley experienced one of the strongest real estate markets in its history.
For many years it was a sellers market, with many more buyers than sellers. But the market has changed.
Gone are the days of multiple offers and rapidly rising prices.
Today’s market requires a different approach. The job is no longer about managing lineups but about understanding the market, the buyers and the competing inventory.
This market requires one to ask what a property has that is unique and how to communicate this difference to the market. This requires research of the competing homes for sale in and out of the immediate area, upcoming changes to zoning and the highest and best use the land the home sits on.
Choosing a Realtor isn’t about the last how they handled the lineup in the last market boom but how they strategize your sale today. It is about how they think, how they communicate and how they adapt when the market changes.
My approach to real estate rests on three pillars: property storytelling, extensive market and property analysis, and strong communication.
Real Estate Storytelling
Every property has something that makes it memorable.
My role is to discover what that is and communicate it clearly.
People do not purchase homes because they contain three bedrooms and two bathrooms. They purchase homes because they can imagine a life there. That story begins long before they walk through the front door.
Professional photography captures attention. Floor plans help buyers understand how the home functions. Thoughtful written descriptions explain not only what a property offers, but why those features matter.
Effective marketing is built around understanding what makes a property distinctive and presenting that story honestly and convincingly.
Analysis
Real estate decisions deserve more than intuition; they deserve facts. Whether I am helping someone buy or sell, I begin by understanding four things.
Zoning and Development
Understanding how a property may be used in the future is often as important as understanding how it is used today. I review zoning, community plans and development potential to understand its highest and best use.
Neighbourhood and Amenities
Schools, parks, transportation, shopping and future community improvements influence how people experience a home. These factors affect both desirability and value.
Unique Benefits
Every property has characteristics that appeal to a particular buyer. My role is to identify those strengths and ensure they become part of the property’s story.
Condition and Durability
Cosmetic updates matter, but so do the systems behind the walls. Understanding condition helps buyers evaluate long-term costs and helps sellers communicate value.
My goal is to determine what a property is worth and help clients understand the value.
Communication
Written communication matters more now than ever before.
Communication has changed dramatically over the past twenty years. Much of what once happened across a kitchen table now begins online. Buyers form their first impressions before they ever book a showing.
I communicate the progress of a transaction clearly and thoroughly in writing, helping ensure that everyone remains informed throughout the process. This approach is particularly valuable when multiple stakeholders are involved.
Whether I am preparing marketing for a seller, explaining market conditions to a buyer or negotiating an agreement, my objective is always the same: to communicate clearly, thoughtfully and honestly.
Books
In addition to practising real estate, I write graduate-level textbooks for Routledge.
My work involves developing original ideas, organizing complex information and communicating it clearly for professionals and university students.
