Cloverdale was initially founded as a small farm community in 1870. The downtown area of Cloverdale has maintained its small town charm and historic features, making it a charming place to visit and popular film location for a number of movies and TV shows. Cloverdale offers at multiple-purpose entertainment and events facility at the Cloverdale fair grounds. The Cloverdale fair grounds is host to the famous annual Cloverdale Rodeo, one of Canada’s most popular family events. Cloverdale also offers the Cloverdale Recreation Centre, a 66,000 state of the art facility complete with a gymnasium, weight room, fitness studio, and youth activities including a skate park.
